Regular flights are scheduled to begin on November 16. The service will connect Navi Mumbai with Sindhudurg in around 70 minutes, offering a faster travel option for people from Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai who frequently visit Konkan.
The flight service will operate all seven days of the week, making it easier for passengers to plan their trips.
According to the planned schedule, the flight from Navi Mumbai to Sindhudurg will depart at 7:55 am and reach Chipi Airport at 9:04 am.
For the return journey, the flight will take off from Chipi Airport at 9:25 am and arrive at Navi Mumbai at 10:35 am.
The new route is expected to improve air connectivity between the Mumbai metropolitan region and the Konkan region. It could be particularly useful for people travelling to Sindhudurg for family visits, holidays and other purposes.
Ticket prices for the new route start at around Rs 3,500. Bookings are now open, with fares varying depending on availability and travel dates.
With daily flights between Navi Mumbai and Sindhudurg, passengers will have a quicker alternative to road and rail travel. The new service is expected to make travelling to Konkan more convenient, especially during the festive season.
