The 19th edition of the film festival will be held at the NFDC Complex on Peddar Road. Known as one of South Asia’s oldest and most respected festivals dedicated to non-feature films, MIFF continues to attract filmmakers, artists, media professionals and cinema lovers from across the world.
Delegates can now register through the festival’s official portal. New users will need to create an account, while existing users can log in directly and complete the registration process.
A registration fee of Rs 500 has been set for delegates, while students can register free of cost, making it easier for young filmmakers and cinema enthusiasts to take part in the event.
The festival will feature both national and international competitions, with winners receiving Golden and Silver Conch Awards along with total prize money of up to Rs 55 lakh.
Several major honours will also be presented during the event, including the V. Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award, Pramod Pati Award, Technical Excellence Award, Best Student Film Award and Best Debut Director Award.
Apart from film screenings, MIFF 2026 will also host red carpet events, gala screenings, masterclasses and panel discussions featuring industry experts.
A key highlight this year will be the Waves Doc Bazaar, where an immersive market will be introduced for the first time, adding a new experience for filmmakers and industry participants.
The upcoming festival is expected to be a major platform for documentary, short and animation films, bringing the global cinema community together in Mumbai.
