Security has reportedly been tightened outside the homes of several Bollywood celebrities following the firing incident involving Tiger Shroff in Mumbai. Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan and filmmaker Rohit Shetty are among those whose security arrangements have come under focus.

Salman Khan, who has been provided Y+ security, was recently seen leaving Mumbai while the investigation into the shooting continues. Akshay Kumar is reportedly installing a bulletproof glass shield outside his Juhu residence. Police patrolling has also been intensified near Aamir Khan’s home in Bandra and Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu.

The developments come after police reportedly found that Tiger Shroff was not the attackers’ original target and that they had allegedly planned to target another prominent Bollywood personality.

Injured Man to Undergo Surgery

Umesh Chauhan, who was injured in the firing, is scheduled to undergo surgery at Mumbai’s KEM Hospital on Wednesday. The bullet reportedly struck his liver, and doctors will attempt to remove it during the procedure. His recovery is expected to take considerable time.

Tiger Shroff’s mother, Ayesha Shroff, visited Chauhan at the hospital on Tuesday and offered assistance to his family. According to a Mid-Day report, she met his cousin, Rahul Goud, enquired about his condition and shared her contact number so the family could reach her if they needed help.

Chauhan lives in Mankhurd with his eight-month-pregnant wife and their six-year-old son, Arav, who is in junior kindergarten. His father-in-law is currently attending to him at the hospital, while his father has reportedly left Banaras and is expected to arrive in Mumbai soon.

Chauhan’s relative, Arvind Chaurasia, learnt about the incident while watching the news on Sunday night. After confirming the information, he was allowed to visit him at the hospital. He said doctors had advised Chauhan’s pregnant wife not to visit because of the potential risks.

What Happened in the Tiger Shroff Firing Case?

The incident took place on Sunday when Tiger Shroff was returning home by car after football practice. Shots were fired at the vehicle. The actor escaped with minor abrasions, while his driver, Ibrahim Firdaus, was injured and taken to Nanavati Max Hospital for treatment.

Mumbai Police escorted Tiger back to his residence under tight security after the shooting. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde later visited the actor at his home.

The investigation is ongoing, and security arrangements for several Bollywood celebrities are reportedly being reviewed following the incident.
