According to railway officials, the block will remain in place from 12 midnight to 5 am. During this period, all slow line suburban trains will run on the fast corridor between Mumbai Central and Mahim.
Due to this temporary arrangement, trains will not stop at Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Matunga Road and Mahim stations. Officials said the fast corridor platforms are not suitable for handling slow line services during the block period.
Western Railway has asked passengers to check train timings before travelling and plan their journey in advance to avoid inconvenience.
The last down direction train for the affected stations will be the Churchgate-Bandra local departing Churchgate at 11:31 pm. This service will be extended up to Virar.
Similarly, the Borivali-bound local leaving at 11:03 pm will be the last up direction train to halt at the affected stations before the block starts.
Railway authorities also confirmed that a few suburban train services will remain cancelled during the overnight work. Detailed information about cancelled and diverted trains will be available with station masters across the suburban network.
Meanwhile, Central Railway has also announced a separate traffic and power block between Kurla and Bhandup from May 15 to 18.

The block will take place over three nights. On May 15 and 16, the work will continue from 1:15 am to 4:15 am. On May 16 and 17, the block will remain from 12:10 am to 4:40 am. Another block is scheduled between May 17 and 18 from 1:15 am to 3:05 am.
During this period, several local train services on the slow and fast corridors will be diverted, cancelled, short-terminated or short-originated.
Some Karjat-bound and Kasara-bound local trains will run on fast lines between Matunga and Mulund stations and will skip Vidyavihar, Kanjurmarg and Nahur stations.
A few local services, including Thane-Kurla and CSMT-Thane trains, will remain cancelled during the block hours. Some trains will also terminate early at Kurla or Thane stations.
