Navi Mumbai Accident: Two Killed, Eight Seriously Hurt as Speeding Car Hits Multiple Vehicles

A hit-and-run accident in Navi Mumbai claimed two lives and left eight others seriously injured after a speeding electric XEV car lost control and crashed into people and vehicles on Tuesday morning.

The accident took place in Taloja Sector 10, where the electric vehicle was reportedly moving at a high speed before the driver lost control. The car rammed into five vehicles on the road and also hit several pedestrians. The impact was so severe that multiple vehicles were badly damaged.

According to initial reports, 10 people were affected in the crash. Two people died on the spot, while eight others suffered serious injuries. They were rushed to a nearby private hospital for treatment.

Local residents quickly reached the spot and helped rescue the injured before emergency teams arrived.

Police said the driver abandoned the vehicle at the accident site and fled soon after the crash. Officers have started an investigation and are examining CCTV footage from the area. They are also recording statements from eyewitnesses to identify and trace the absconding driver.

Videos of the accident have surfaced on social media, showing the aftermath of the crash. The incident has sparked concern among local residents, who have raised questions over road safety in the area and demanded strict action against the driver responsible.

Police said the exact cause of the accident will be known after the investigation is completed.
