The first incident took place in Bhiwandi, where a fire broke out at a dyeing factory in the Nadi Naka area. The factory, identified as Akash Dyeing, caught fire earlier in the day.
Fire officials said the blaze was brought under control after quick action by the team. The exact cause of the fire is not yet confirmed, and more details are awaited.
Another fire was reported near Mumbai Central, close to DB Marg. The incident took place in a chawl where several shops and rooms were affected.
Teams from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, fire brigade, police and other departments rushed to the spot and began operations immediately.
According to local MLA Amin Patel, the fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit. He said the blaze started late at night and spread due to the presence of small shops in the area.
The residential portion of the building was reportedly vacant, which helped avoid injuries. However, the structure was already in a weak condition, and the fire caused major damage.
Fire officials said the situation is now under control, but cooling operations are still ongoing. Some parts of the building have become unsafe and may need to be demolished.
Authorities plan to call Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority to assess and carry out the demolition work.
Despite the damage, officials confirmed that no one was injured in either of the incidents.
